Denzel Washington headlines the weekend box office with ‘The Equalizer’.
The Equalizer. Denzel Washington plays a retired tough-guy black ops intelligence officer who is forced out of retirement to save a prostitute, played by Chloe Moretz, who has ties to the Russian mob and a ruthless gangster played by Marton Csokas.
The Boxtrolls. The loveable children’s story about a snooty elite town called Cheesebridge and the characters that live in an underground world beneath their city streets. The Boxtrolls live in boxes and have a reputation for stealing the towns famous cheeses at night. An exterminator (voice of Ben Kingsley), looking to gain favor into the country club society of Cheesebridge, is intent on catching and exterminating the Boxtrolls, but a young boy that they have raised as one of their own, and the towns richest young girl, are giving him a run for his money. Toni Collette and Elle Fanning also voice star.
