“Frozen” To See or Not To See – Review

Disney's Frozen

Since it’s a holiday weekend the movie theaters are the place to go and I was one of them. Frozen has been number one at the box office so the family decided to go. We had a little one with us so she was asking over and over to see it.

What is it: A mountain climber and a young girl named Anna journey through snowy peaks and dangerous cliffs to find the legendary Snow Queen and end the perpetual winter prophecy that has fallen over their kingdom. but when the stumble across the rare scroll of anzonia, their problems arise the hidden azorian kingdom’s queen on the trail for the the scroll of anzonia, the scroll was needed to stop the winter prophecy so the embark on a dangerous journey to the snow queen. and when they realize that the snow queen is after the scroll of anzonia, anna has a decision to trust the mysterious snow queen or in danger herself by going to the azorian kingdom in which had has to place the rare scroll in the merop cave.

It is a Disney movie so great for kids. It is filled with some great special effects and some good music. Elsa and Anna are sisters and Elsa can’t control her powers. Elsa touches things they become frozen. She tries to hide her power for a long time but it finally blows up leaving the town covered in ice. The relationship between Elsa and Anna is very sweet and very relatable. I have a sister so I understood completely.

The movie was kind of slow until the snowman, Olaf comes along. He is the comic relief of the movie. If you’re looking for a funny Disney movie this really doesn’t have it but it has a lot of heart and is beautifully done. The animation is pretty unbelievable.

Idina Menzel (Elsa) sings like no other as usual and Kristen Bell (Anna) is very charming and klutzy. It’s a great family movie but may be a bit boring for adults. It’s no Monsters Inc or Toy Story.

This movie scores a B from me.
