Get Hard. DVD. Blue Ray. IMDb Pro-rating 6.1. Will Ferrell plays a corrupt uber-rich hedge fund owner in this comedy, who is headed to San Quentin for fraud. Realizing he’ll never last a day in prison, he employs black businessman, Kevin Hart, to train him for survival in the big house. Only thing, Kevin has never done time, and has no clue.
Danny Collins. DVD. Blue Ray. IMDb Pro-rating 7.2. Based on a true story, Al Pacino stars as an aging rock star who receives a long lost letter sent to him by John Lennon, urging him to hold on to what’s important in life and not be dazzled by the rock star life. Inspired to mend fences, he decides to connect with his son whom he has never recognized. A great cast including: Annette Bening, Jennifer Garner, Bobby Cannavale, and Christopher Plummer.
The Gunman. DVD. Blue-Ray. IMDb Pro-rating 5.7. Sean Penn stars as an assassin, trying to make amends for his killing ways, when he is lured back by an ex-lover (Jasmine Trinka) whose husband, (Javier BArdem) is a Congo crime lord.
While We’re Young. DVD. Blue-Ray. IMDb Pro-rating 6.6. Ben Stiller stars as an aging filmmaker, in a ho-hum marriage to Naomi Watts, but when they meet young filmmakers Adam Driver and Amanda Seyfried, they start to be re-inspired about everything – except their old friends. Charles Grodin also stars. Does have an 84% customer satisfaction on Rotten Tomatoes.
Last Knights. DVD. Blue-Ray. IMDb Pro-rating 6.2. Another movie inspired by the legend of the 47 Ronin. This time starring Clive Owen as the warrior and Morgan Freeman as his mentor.
