The August box office starts with a bang, with Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy and the Mick Jagger backed James Brown biopic Get On Up, both garnering rave reviews.
Guardians of the Galaxy has been building fan anticipation for months and from the scores on IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes it’s going to satisfy in a big way. Chris Pratt’s tongue and cheek performance has critics applauding, as well as the rest of the cast including Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana and Michael Rooker, and a host of cameos by A-List stars is sure to fill theater seats this weekend.
The Mick Jagger, Brian Glazer production of Get On Up has an outstanding performance by Chadwick Boseman (as the late James Brown), that knocks your socks off from the first performance, and with support from Oscar Winner Olivia Spencer, Viola Davis and Dan Aykroyd, this has to be a good time.
Look for Snoop Dog or Snoop Lion if you’re vacationing in Ibiza this August. Snoop will be at the Hard Rock Hotel in Ibiza August 15.
