No more babies for Gwen! The No Doubt front-woman recently chat with Wonderwall.com saying her family is now complete with son Apollo, life’s biggest surprises, the major fashion mishap on the set of her recent MasterCard commercial and more. Gwen Stefani on priceless surprises
“It’s kind of a theme right now in my life. These priceless surprises started with getting pregnant with Apollo which was totally a surprise and a miracle. Then they called me about “The Voice” like right after that and that was a surprise. I had such an incredible time on that show. It went by so fast, this year.”
On the most priceless surprise in her life
“Honestly, every day is a surprise. I cannot believe my life. I have so many surprises, but last year was really shocking. Getting pregnant and having that little baby.”
On whether or not she’s done having other “little surprises”
“I feel very very complete and very blessed.”
On her MasterCard commercial dress malfunction
“We wanted to do something that felt sort of old Hollywood glamour meets ‘Alice in Wonderland.’ A black and white world that represents my style and things that I’ve done a lot in the past. That skirt that was in the commercial was actually an old vintage Alexander McQueen. And I had this rubber top that I was wearing. I was in the lights and it was really bright, really hot lights. I think, ‘this light is burning my back. I think I’m getting a burn.’ Next thing I know the top melted and it actually busted open because it was rubber and the lights were so hot. It was kind of a disaster.”
On not being trend-focused
“I feel like I’m in my own bubble and I don’t really know what trends are happening. I can be walking down the street and see someone that looks cool and think, ‘I’m going to do that.’ It’s one of those things. Things just get recycled all the time and it always involves into something new.”
