‘I Am Not Your Negro’, ‘Gold’,’The Comedian’,’A Dog’s Purpose’ On DVD May 2.

Jackson is the voice of James Baldwin, the renowned American author, playwright and activist. I am Not Your Negro deals with Baldwin’s unfinished book dealing with Medger Evers, Malcolm X. and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Written and directed by Raoul Peck.

Gold. DVD. Blue-Ray. IMDB pro-rating 6.6 with a 42% Rotten Tomato Approval. Mathew McConaughey plays a prospector searching for Gold in Indonesia. He finds it, but when Wall Street gets wind of the discovery, they want a piece of the pie. Teddy Schwartzman, Patrick Massett also star.

Watch The Comedian to find out, although nothing could be that bad if your watching, Robert, DiNero as a wanna be stand-up whose fans insist he remain a character he once played on TV. He assaults a heckler at one of his performances (sounds good so far) and has to do community service, where he meets a young woman (Leslie Mann) who teaches him a thing or two about laughter. Danny DeVito, Harvey Keitel and Edie Falco go down with the ship.

A Dog’s Purpose. DVD. Blue-Ray. IMDB pro-rating 6.1 with a 32% approval on Rotten Tomatoes. A dog (voiced by Josh Gad) has many lifetimes where he keeps meeting up with the same people. His spirit keeps returning to the same soulmate, Bryce Gheisar and his family, where they share life’s ups and downs. Directed by Lasse Halstrom, it also stars Dennis Quaid, Britt Robertson and Peggy Lipton.
