John Legend steps it up yet again with his new video “You and I”. He’s all about female empowerment.
The video shows a series of women from all walks of life looking at themselves in the mirror. The message is they are beautiful. The video features Emmy nominated actress Laverne Cox, John Legend’s wife Chrissy Teigen and Tatyana Ali.
Legend tweeted he is proud of this video. It was created via EVERDREAM, a new digital content studio comprised of millennial filmmakers. There is a companion documentary created in conjunction with the music video that explored different stories behind the various women featured in the music video. “When I Look in the Mirror” can be viewed here.
The music video and documentary want to bring awareness and increase engagement in the #OperationGirls Charity Challenge aiming to bring together the best organizations in the world focusing on empowering and educating girls. For more information go here.
