Not since Dances With Wolves has Kevin Costner put up his own money for a film, so you have to know he believes in the value of this drama 100%. Black or White deals with grandparents left to raise a bi-racial child, when the mother died in childbirth and the father is an absentee. Kevin Costner is the emotionally distant Grandfather left devastated and out of touch when his wife dies and he becomes the sole parent for his half black, half white granddaughter whose other grandparent is Octavia Spencer. Kevin is wealthy and lives in a posh neighborhood, Octavia lives in the projects, as other children to raise, but runs a successful business. Octavia and Kevin fight for custody of the child, both feeling they would be the better parent. Jillian Estell is the child and Anthony Mackie also stars.
The Loft is a thriller starring Wentworth Miller, Karl Urban and James Marsden as three of five married men who rent a loft apartment to carry on with parties, fun, and other women, but when a dead woman is found dead in the bedroom they realize one of them is a murderer and they all become dangerously suspicious of each other.
