Lindsay Hartley stars in the Thriller, ‘Killer Twin’ on Lifetime August 4, 8pm

Lindsay Hartley takes on the challenge of dual roles in ‘Killer Twin’. Lifetime TV, Saturday August 4, 8pm – 7C.

Kendra’s life couldn’t be more perfect – she has a loving husband, supportive best friend, and a blossoming career… and she was just awarded the title of “Educator of the Year.” But when Kendra stands up to deliver a speech at the awards banquet held in her honor, her life quickly starts to unravel. She soon discovers the cause of her troubles is completely unexpected: Amber, her long lost twin sister. Amber resents Kendra’s “entitled life” and is determined to even the playing field. Lindsay Hartley, Jason Cermak and Candice Hunter star.

Speaking with Lindsay Hartley (Passions, Days of Out Lives, All My Children), about the challenges of having to share a starring role – with herself.   Lindsay plays Kendra, the good sister, and Amber the jealous, vengeful sister in Killer Twin, produced by Reel One Entertainment for Lifetime.

Tell me about the filming of Killer Twin.

Lindsay Hartley. We shot in Vancouver. Filming took a little more than three weeks. It was a total team effort by the cast and crew, including our director, David Langlois. For an actress, playing multiple roles is a dream, it’s challenging – but fun. You are forced to zero in on each character’s emotional state, and make the audience forget that you are playing  both parts, Kendra and Amber.

You are an accomplished singer, but I didn’t realize you are also a produced screenwriter. How long have you been writing?

Lindsay Hartley. I have written 5 screenplays with my writing partner Jason-Shane Scott. Deadly Exchange, in which I also star, Dying For a Crown, Murder at the Mansion, Dying For a Baby, and Scared Live, about a Reality TV show that is now in pre-production in New York. I would love to direct one day.

What’s next for Lindsay Hartley?

Lindsay Hartley. I just wrapped up filming Terrified at 17, in Ottowa, Canada. I play a deeply tormented woman with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), also known as multiple personality disorder. It’s a mental disorder characterized by at least two distinct personality states. There is often trouble remembering certain events because of the fragmentation of memories. I’m also busy raising my 14-year-old daughter, Isabella.

Thanks, Lindsay. I’ll be watching Killer Twin this Saturday at 8pm, on Lifetime.
