“Little Women” Has Its First Trailer

If you haven’t seen or heard of Little Women, you must be under a rock. I don’t know if they still teach it in school.

So, here’s a little background of the coming-of-age drama based on the novel of the same name by Louisa May Alcott. The story follows the March sisters – Meg, Amy, Beth and Jo, who are navigating life in the US after the Civil War era.

It seems the movie takes a little different angle.

Writer-director Greta Gerwig (Lady Bird) has crafted a Little Women that draws on both the classic novel and the writings of Louisa May Alcott, and unfolds as the author’s alter ego, Jo March, reflects back and forth on her fictional life.  In Gerwig’s take, the beloved story of the March sisters – four young women each determined to live life on her own terms — is both timeless and timely.

The cast is star-packed with Saoirse Ronan, Emma Watson, Florence Pugh, Eliza Scanlen, with Timothée Chalamet as their neighbor Laurie, Laura Dern as Marmee, and Meryl Streep as Aunt March.
