Michael Jackson’s “Moonwalking” Loafers Went for Almost $100k at Auction

GWS Auctions, one of the world’s most exciting auction houses specializing in entertainment memorabilia, jewelry, fine art and real estate auctions,  held their highly anticipated auction, “The Secret Collection of the de’ Medici Royal Family of Italy” which also included a section of iconic music memorabilia.

Highlights of the music memorabilia included the rare pair of Michael Jackson loafers worn by the King of Pop during his rehearsal for the “25th Anniversary of Motown” TV special. It was then that he performed his now famous “Moonwalk” for the first time. The pair of Florsheim loafers sold for $98,400, a record breaking price paid for a pair of Michael Jackson related loafers per the auction house.  Other highlights included a set of Jackson 5 Bill Whitten stage/album cover worn costumes which sold for $55,350; a Michael Jackson signed fedora sold for $11,800 and a Michael Jackson personally owned Swarovski Crystal studded riding helmet sold for $17,220.

Well ok then! I guess if you have the money.
