MTV’s Rebel Music series is a thought provoking documentary project highlighting stories of young fearless musicians and artists around the world who are rising up against oppression to forge a better future. This series shares a new perspective from youth committed to drive change in their countries.
MTV’s Rebel Music started with a special premiere last November with the Native America episode and became MTV’s most viewed video ever on Facebook with impressive 4.6MM views and 89K shares. The compelling results led to an invite to the White House where we screened our episode during the announcement of President Obama’s indigenous youth initiative.
They are now premiering the full season that launched on April 30th. It started with the Turkey episode which has also sparked strong engagement on YouTube with 2MM+ views. They will continue the momentum with our next episode of Iran live Thursday, May 14th on www.youtube.com/mtv.
