Never Heard Before Song By Christina Grimmie Released By Her Parents

As part of Mother’s Day Weekend, this Friday, May 11th, Christina Grimmie’s parents will be releasing the ballade “Little Girl” by Christina Grimmie for fans.

Christina Grimmie was an American Singer/Songwriter known for placing third in Season 6 of The Voice and was signed to Island Records before tragically losing her life on tour when she was shot on June 10th, 2016, while signing autographs at The Plaza Live in Orlando, FL.

Devastated by the senseless loss of her daughter, Mrs. Grimmie held on to the track “Little Girl” all these years, which was originally written by Christina when she was 12 and recorded months before Christina’s passing. Written as a tribute to her mother, who was battling breast cancer treatment at the time, the phrase “little girl” was used frequently by Tina to comfort Christina as a young girl, and sadly, the song itself speaks these words back to Tina Grimmie at a critical and difficult time in her life, following the tragic loss of Christina.

Privately held for all these years by the Christina’s mother, Tina Grimmie has decided to share the song worldwide, encouraging the message and strength of love and bond between mothers and daughters the world over. Furthermore, a portion sales and proceeds of streams of the song will be going back to The Christina Grimmie Foundation (https://www.christinagrimmiefoundation.org), which provides financial, emotional and encouragement support to individuals and families who suffer from the devastating effects of gun violence, as well as providing support for families facing breast cancer diagnosis.
