New App From M2Catalyst: MatchCut Edits Videos Perfectly Timed to Music

MatchCut

There’s Vine, Instagram and Snapchat to make videos to send and share with our friends. Well now there’s MatchCut that edits multiple videos into a single 30-second video that is cut perfectly to music.  It’s a new free iOS app that is now available in the App store.

I have played around with it and I have to say it’s pretty cool. For those of you that aren’t tech wizards you can grab videos and put them together and pick music and it will put it all together for you. If you’re an Android user it will be available for download for you in June so you won’t be missing out. You can record new clips or take existing clip and put them into the app. MatchCut precisely cuts the videos to the downbeats and tempos of a pre-selected music track. The results of the video are synchronized to the music and looks pretty professional.

There are 50 free originally full orchestrated movie-style pieces and dance tracks going across all genres. After creating a video you can immediately post on YouTube, shared with the MatchCut.com community and distributed through social media channels.

Try MatchCut at parties, concerts, sporting events, get-together, graduations and just about everything else. I tried it with my cat just running around going crazy.

Users can also have fun seeing how significantly transformed the same footage becomes when matched with several completely different musical backdrops (for example, try not to laugh when watching a MatchCut of two petite dogs happily playing together when juxtaposed against an epic “Gladiator”-style music track).
