There are so many comic book movies and shows out there we can’t keep up.
Marvel has released a new trailer for Luke Cage. He beats down one bad person after another in the trailer for the latest Netflix show. The trailer also shows us a the superhero’s origin story.
The new Netflix show premieres Friday, September 30th and stars Mike Colter as Luke Cage. The show will detail the evolution of Like as he relocates to Harlem and how he is in the process of picking up the pieces following his failed relationship with Jessica Jones. Having been endowed by a failed experiment with super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke is pulled out of the shadows to fight a battle for the heart of his city – forcing him to confront a past he had tried to bury.
The cast also includes Mahershala Ali (as Cornell “Cottonmouth” Stokes), Alfre Woodard (Mariah Dillard), Simone Missick (Misty Knight), Theo Rossi (Shades), Frank Whaley (Rafael Scarfe) and Rosario Dawson (Claire Temple).
Next on Netflix, after Luke Cage, will be Marvel’s Iron Fist, followed by the eight-episode Marvel’s The Defenders team-up event.
