Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is everywhere right now and is starring in the new computer-animated film “Moana” and we have the trailer.

The Rock voices Maui, a demi-god covered with Samoan tattoos in the story that takes place in Hawaii.

In the clip, the story is about a ” hero who will journey to find the demi-god Maui and together they will save us all.”

The hero is the feisty teenager Moana and she sets off in her boat to find Johnson’s Maui – the greatest demi-god in all the Pacific islands who was said to have used a magical fish hook to create the Hawaiian islands by pulling land up from the ocean, slowed down the sun to make the days longer and battled monsters.

She finds the demi-god on a island as he transforms into a giant bird, startling him at first, but then he declines to help her calling her “some little girl.”

But when she demonstrates she has power over the ocean.

The music is by Tony-winner Miranda of Broadway’s “Hamilton” and “In the Heights,” Grammy-winning composer Mark Mancina of “The Lion King,” and Opetaia Foa’i, founder and lead singer of the world music band Te Vaka.

“Samoa is in my blood,” Johnson has said. “To tell a story inspired by the South Pacific is a great honor.”

Providing the voice of Moana is a 14-year-old native Hawaiian, Auli’i Cravalho.

The movie looks very entertaining and I want to hear The Rock sing! It will be hitting theaters on Thanksgiving!
