Oscar Season Heats Up With Brad Pitt In ‘Fury’ And Michael Keaton In ‘Birdman’ Opening October 17

Plenty of good films will be competing for your ticket sale as the Oscar race begins to heat up. Today, Friday, October 17 you can choose from Brad Pitt’s World War 11 ‘Fury’, ‘Birdman’, the highly praised black comedy starring Michael Keaton, The animated ‘Book of Life’ and the romantic ‘The Best of Me’.

The Fury stars Brad Pitt as a battle-hardened sergeant trying to give a final push to strike at the heart of  the Nazi’s in his Sherman tank manned by fellow soldiers Shia LeBeouf, Michael Pena and Logan Lehman, who find they are out-gunned and out-numbered.

BIRDMAN

Birdman stars Michael Keaton as a once famous and popular super-hero who is now trying to make a comeback launching his own Broadway play. This black comedy is scoring high with critics and test crowds, scoring a 92% on Rotten Tomatoes. Andrea Riseborough, Emma Stone, and Ed Norton also star. Word of mouth already has Michael Keaton as the one to beat for Oscars.

BOOLLIFE

The Book Of Life is a beautifully animated family film about honoring one’s past and embracing the future with no regrets. Channing Tatum, Ice Cube, Zoe Saldana and Ron Perlman are the voice actors.

BEST OF ME

The Best of Me stars James Marsden and Michelle Monghan as high school sweethearts who reunite 20 years later for the funeral of a classmate and find they still feel the same, but the factors that kept them apart in the beginning are stronger than ever now, and they must decide if having a second chance at true love is worth it.
