Prince William Becomes Hero

Prince William becomes a true hero after saving a teen in a helicopter sea rescue.

On Thursday, Prince William piloted and took control of a RAF search and Rescue Force helicopter in order to save a teenage girl who was drowning off the coast of Wales.

The 16-year-old and her friend were caught in a riptide and dragged out to seas while body-boarding, reported CNN.

The teen’s friend, 13, luckily was rescued by a surfer, however the 16-year-old was still caught in the waters, when a rescue team was alerted .

The rescue team was able to arrive in 38 seconds, since the Duke of Cambridge had just landed the Sea King helicopter after completing a routine exercise.

“When I got to her, the girl was clearly exhausted and was going under the water for what was the very last time,” paramedic Master Aircrew Harry Harrison told the BBC.

“Sometimes it’s just a twisted ankle or a broken bone, but this was one rescue where we truly did arrive in the nick of time.”

After previously serving as co-pilot, Prince William also known to his crew as Flight Lt. Wales is now the search and rescue captain. His helicopter is stationed at the rescue base on the Welsh island of Anglesey.

Prince William sure sounds like a real knight in shining armor, a true prince charming.
