The First Disneyland Map ever Created, Extraordinary Pre-Opening Disneyland Artifacts, an Original Autopia Car, and Other Original Disney Props, Artwork, and Souvenirs, Highlight the Auction Celebrating Remarkable Moments in Disneyland History.

Van Eaton Galleries, one of the world’s leading animation artwork and collectibles galleries, located in Sherman Oaks, California, has announced the “Walt Disney’s Disneyland” auction to take place Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Van Eaton Galleries, located at 13613 Ventura Blvd in Sherman Oaks, California, starting at 10am PT.  Walt Disney’s Disneyland is an extraordinary auction devoted to the history of Disneyland and features rare and remarkable items from some of the finest collections in the world including Walt Disney’s original 1953 Disneyland map and nearly 1,000 other iconic, exceptional Disney artifacts.

The auction will feature approximately 1000 rare items including many items that the public has never seen before. For over 60 years, Disneyland has influenced popular culture and built generations of loyal fans. The rare Disneyland memorabilia offered in this auction shows how early park items, from simple souvenirs to actual props and artwork, are currently among the most sought after collectibles in the world.

The highlights include the original Disneyland map created by Walt Disney and Herb Ryman that secured the initial funding for Disneyland in 1953 (Estimate: $700,000-$900,000), an original ride vehicle from “Autopia” (Estimate: $18,000-$20,000), an original model of Michael Jackson from the “Captain EO” attraction (Estimate: $3,000-$5,000), and an original bench used in Fantasyland (Estimate: $2,000-$4,000).

Other highlights include an extremely rare poster from the Grand Opening of the “Haunted Mansion” attraction (Estimate: $6,000-$8,000), an original concept drawing used to make the “Snow White’s Scary Adventures” ride vehicles (Estimate: $1,200-$1,500), a rare original poster from the “Matterhorn Bobsleds” attraction (Estimate $3,000-$4,000), a section of carpet from Walt Disney’s apartment in Disneyland (Estimate: $700-$1,000), and an extremely rare opening-day Disneyland Guide Book signed by Walt Disney (Estimate: $7,000-$9,000)
