Rob Lowe has just joined the cast of Super Troopers 2, Deadline is reporting. Production began in Boston last week. The actor will play Guy Le Franc, a former hockey player and the current mayor of a Quebec Canadian border town.
The comedy team behind the original film, raised more than $4.5 million to fund Super Troopers 2 during a crowd-funding campaign on Indiegogo last year, shooting past their initial goal of $2 million.
