Production has been delayed on set because 41 year old actor, Robert Downey Jr. reportedly hurt his ankle while performing a stunt. Now that’s dedication to your character. This film has been in production since May and despite the sidelined Downey Jr. filming will push forward and the expected May 3, 2013 release will not be pushed back.
Let’s face it Robert Downey Jr. isn’t a young buck anymore and although we don’t know the nature of the stunt that put him, briefly, out of commission, its probable that he was urges to use a stunt double. And if there were questions about Robert’s passion for his trade there won’t be now. He told Entertainment Weekly, “I feel like I don’t know where you go after Iron Man 3. Leave it all on the field, you know?”
I salute the man in the suit who is clearly not letting down the franchise or its fans.
