Shannen Doherty Calls 911 to Save Suicidal Fan on Twitter

Actress Shannen Doherty called a 911 dispatcher in Westhampton, NJ to help a suicidal fan on Twitter.

“This is going to sound incredibly strange,” Doherty is heard saying, “My name is Shannon Doherty, and I’m an actress and there is a girl who is threatening to shoot herself.”

People Magazine writes, Shannen said to the dispatcher the fan, a 27-year-old woman, had sent her a Twitter direct message saying she would commit suicide if Shannen didn’t call her.

“I’m completely untrained to deal with somebody threatening suicide,” Shannen said. “It’s been an undoing thing and my security guys told me to block her, because she’s aggressive and does very erratic things . . . I felt bad for her to be honest.”

“I would love it if you guys would just call back and let me know,” she asked.

Don’t ever take something like this lightly. I think Shannen did the right thing for sure.
