Sponge Bob: Out of Water, an animation / live action film will knock the Clint Eastwood/Bradley Cooper blockbuster American Sniper out of the top spot this weekend.
Sponge Bob: Out of Water will wipe up the top spot this weekend, sending American Sniper into second, and the $175 million troubled Jupiter Ascending lands in third.
Sponge Bob: Out of Water has Bob leaving the comforts of home to save the Krabby Pies from an evil pirate who has his own sweet treat planned for them. TV series regulars star with Tom Kenny, Bill Fagerbakke, Roger Bumpass, Clancy Brown and Antonio Banderas as the pirate.
Jupiter Ascending. A Sci-Fi action vehicle for big talent stars Mila Kunis, Channing Tatum, Oscar nominee Eddie Redamayne, and Douglas Booth. The Wachowski’s bigger than big budget attempt to recapture the magic of The Matrix. Lots of special effects and Channing Tatum with green hair, as an alien who saves Mila Kunis, a poor Russian immigrant who miraculously has the same DNA as an extraterrestrial race and entitled to her part of their empire.
Seventh Son. This fantasy action film has been trying to debut for some time. Oscar winner Jeff Bridges is a man with superpowers who long ago was victorious over an evil witch, Julianne Moore, who has now escaped from her prison and is looking for revenge. Only the seventh son of the Seventh Son (Ben Barnes) can take care of the problem.
