Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, actor Tim McGraw kicked off his highly-anticipated summer Shotgun Rider Tour 2015 to thousands of fans this past weekend.
Friday night’s kick-off show in Little Rock, AR and Saturday in Dallas, TX featured performances from McGraw’s thirteenth studio album Sundown Heaven Town, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart, and received critical praise.
“Tim McGraw shows off catchy tunes, big biceps in Dallas show,” the Dallas Morning News said. “He still knows how to find super-catchy tunes that fit perfectly into the current radio landscape.” The show was highlighted by an amazing light show, which is already receiving rave reviews from fans as one of the best ever.
Other highlights included the debut of McGraw’s On-Stage Experience where fan club, VIP and radio winners – along with a few other lucky fans chosen through a text-to-upgrade contest – were able to join Tim on stage in a DJ-style bar incorporated into the show.
McGraw – along with tour support acts Billy Currington and Chase Bryant – will continue to thrill audiences across North America as the tour travels through cities including Toronto, Chicago, Washington DC, Seattle and Denver before concluding September 19 in Irvine, CA at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre. The next Shotgun Rider tour date is this Thursday at the famed Jones Beach Theatre in Wantagh, NY.
