SUNDAY, OCTOBER 28 (8PM ET/PT) ON LIFETIME

Kelly Sullivan, Dan Payne and Anna Van Hooft star in the Thriller ’til Ex Do Us Part’ (suggested by true events), written by NBC News Correspondent, Andrea Canning.

Sophia, (Kelly Sullivan, “Too Close To Home”, “Henry Danger,”) an award-winning architect and her husband, Kyle (Dan Payne, “Good Witch”), are in the process of reconciling after a brief separation.  But just as Kyle is about to move back in, Claire (Anna Van Hooft, “Altered Carbon”), a woman Kyle slept with only once, when he was drunk and depressed over losing his family, claims she was assaulted and blames Sophia.  She has no proof and Kyle believes Claire had nothing to do with it.

But Claire won’t give up and breaks into Sophia’s house and goes through her calendar in order to confront her at a restaurant where she proceeds to accuse her again for attacking her.

When Kyle refuses to believe anything Claire says, she tells him she is pregnant and fakes the evidence so Kyle will come back to her.  Sophia’s friend Rachel finds out the evidence is false but before she can tell her, she is killed by Claire in an “accident.”

Claire will stop at nothing to get what she wants, even bringing Sophia and Kyle’s 16-year-old daughter, Emma, into her plans.  But when everything she tries backfires and Kyle tells her he is back with Sophia for good, Claire has no choice but to kill Sophia….except Sophia has other plans!

I was fortunate to chat with stars: Kelly Sullivan, well known as “Miss Daytime” for her years on General Hospital and Young and the Restless,  Anna Van Hooft, most recently known for her role in Netflix’s ALTERED CARBON, and the cross breed Artemis in the CW’s SUPERNATURAL, and Dan Payne, fan favorite as ‘the Beast’ in Disneys’ Descendants, about their roles in ‘Til Ex Do Us Part

Kelly Sullivan

Kelly, what interested you in the script ‘Til Ex Do Us Part’?

Kelly Sullivan. I had worked with Danny J. Boyle in the LIFETIME production of ‘Give Me My Baby‘, and jumped at the opportunity to work with Danny again. I also liked the Thriller  (laced with a bit of Horror), aspect of the script, and the fact that it was a female driven story.

You’ve got major experience working on Broadway. Which do you prefer Film and TV, or live performing?

Kelly Sullivan: I miss working for a live audience, the live connection and audience gives, and I miss all the awesome fans and friends I made on the soaps. As an actress, I think it depends on the circumstances. As long as I’m honing my craft with exciting parts, working with great and talented actors, and moving forward, I’m happy.

What’s next for Kelly Sullivan?

Kelly Sullivan: I’m working on writing scripts that I want to participate in. I’ve got a writing partner and I may even produce. It’s empowering to stretch yourself into different aspects of the craft.

Anna Van Hooft

Anna, how does it feel playing the evil-nemesis in ‘Til Ex Do Us Part’?

Anna Van Hooft: I love it! Complex, evil characters are my joy! I love playing unhinged characters with clear human goals. There is something really rewarding in playing a character that is cross-wired. I also love working with director Danny J. Boyle. He is fun and entertaining on and off the set. He’s always putting out good energy.

Who is the most inspiring actor you’ve had the opportunity to work with?

Anna Van Hooft: Aside from my co-actors Kelly Sullivan and Dan Payne, in ‘Til Ex Do Us Part‘, I was fortunate to work opposite Domhnall Gleeson in the indie flick ‘Crash Pad‘.  He was incredible. I learned so much from him.

You volunteer at the Vancouver Art Gallery in your spare time. Who is your favorite painter?

Anna Van Hooft: Canadian artist, Lawren Harris.

Dan Payne

What drew you to the part of the unfaithful husband?

Dan Payne: I liked playing the part of a man trapped in two different worlds. He is estranged from his wife, and his emotional desires have woven a web around him. Also, to work with Danny J. Boyle. He creates a great positive atmosphere on a set. The crew was great, and Kelly and Anna made every day a pleasure.

You started in stand-up comedy. That’s very brave!

Dan Payne: My brother was really the writer and comedian, I was just the straight guy having fun.

What made you want to become and actor?

Dan Payne: I started as a professional athlete, where I learned a strong work ethic and to set goals. I have to admit, acting is the best job. You get to play and have fun. I’m very grateful to my wife and family for all their support. I love acting, any day on a set is a great day!

What’s next for Dan Payne?

Dan Payne: I’m set to do the third installment of Disney’s Descendants, and they have just green-lit season 2 of Aliens Ate My Homework. I am also in the early stages of partnering with a writer and producer to make films I want to be in. We want to focus on Universal Truth story-lines.
