Paul is best known for his role on Prison Break as Agent Paul Kellerman and for his current role as Dr. Cooper Freedman in Private Practice.
He began his career in theatre, working with New Crime Productions, a company founded by John Cusack.
He made his film debut in 1990 in The Grifters.
In November 2006,Paul married actress Liza Weil, who played Paris Geller on Gilmore Girls.
Paul is also in the band Doris where he plays piano, guitar and sings.
