Until today I didn’t know of Chris Stapleton. After blowing the audience away last night at the CMA Awards I’m sure you will be hearing a lot more of this guy.
After willing New Artist of the Year, he and pop sensation Justin Timberlake his the stage for a show-stopping performance of “Tennessee Whiskey” and “Drink You Away.”
It was such a great mash up of blues and country. Fans took to Twitter in such admiration of the duet. The show could have stopped right then and there. Not only did the home audience love it but all the celebs at the show. You can see Keith Urban take out his phone to document the performance, Jessica Biel is rocking out in the audience and many more.
Chris Stapleton went on to win Album of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year. Not too bad for a newcomer.
