You know when you have a craving for something and you can’t get it out of your head? That was me one night. All I wanted was a good steak. Back home I always knew the places to go but here in L.A. good BBQ is hard to find. Many places here are all about the healthy foods.
I was online browsing and then looking on delivery apps and trying to find something to indulge my craving. I came across Ranch House in Van Nuys and was hooked. You can get just about everything there. My faves are the tri-tip with mashed potatoes and their French dip.
My friend came to visit and we were going back and forth on where we should go. He was talking about a good BBQ place he found in Vegas and I suggested my place. He was skeptical but said yes. Now, it’s all he can talk about when he visits next.
The holes in the wall places you would never expect are the best places. It’s a no frills place. Let’s face it going to places where there are no prices on the menu or those steak houses can be ok but they don’t live up to the hype. Ranch House deserves all the hype.
