Heather Headley is a force!! The Broadway actor bid farewell to The Color Purple but not without an emotional send-off from Cynthia Erivo and Danielle Brooks.
Cynthia and Danielle sang an amazing rendition of the gospel song “I Won’t Complain” while the rest of the cast joined in at the end.
Heather was so overcome with emotions she threw off her shoes in response to the vocals. She also couldn’t stop crying.
At the end of the performance, Heather was presented with a purple box and all of the actors put tiny portraits of them drawn by artist Annie Govekar inside the box. Watch the whole video below!
