Up Close and Personal: Michael Phelps

Michael Phelps was in the sixth grade, he was diagnosed with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

In November 2004, at the age of 19, Phelps was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol in Salisbury, Maryland.

In 2001, at 15 years and 9 months old, Phelps became the youngest man ever to set a swimming world record.

“I think goals should never be easy, they should force you to work, even if they are uncomfortable at the time.”
