2015 Primetime Emmy Nominations!

Uzo Aduba

The nominees have been announced for the 2015 Emmy Awards. There were some definite surprises for me.

No surprise on the list “Game of Thrones, “Mad Men” and “House of Cards” were nominated for in the best drama category. Also no surprise for comedy series is “Transparent”, “Veep” and “Modern Family”.

I have to say I am really surprised that “Girls” wasn’t nominated this year along with Lena Dunham. She has been nominated many times. Also not on the list Julianna Margulies from “The Good Wife and Jim Parsons from “Big Bang Theory”.

New shows “Empire” and “Last Man on Earth” also received nominations. I am not surprised by “Empire” but thought they would receive more.

The Primetime Emmy Awards will be held on September 20 hosted by Andy Samberg.
