Jerry Bruckheimer has apparently reunited with Paramount Pictures, and with that, the furnace has been once again stoked for the return of the Beverly Hills Cop franchise to the silver screen.
In addition to that important nugget, deadline.com is reporting that Beverly Hills Cop IV is not only a priority but will be the first project made under Bruckheimer’s new deal with Paramount.
Last but not least, Eddie Murphy has signed onto star in the film, along with Brett Ratner (better known for the Rush Hour franchise) attached to direct the return of Axel Foley!
I’m just going to put this out there: Let’s hope old school Eddie Murphy makes an appearance in this project! In my humble opinion he stopped being funny after Boomerang, circa 1991. Nuff said.
