Eddie Redmayne is nominated for his role as Stephen Hawking a brilliant physicist who finds out at 21 years old that he has debilatating ALS and doesn’t have much time left. He weds his true love, played by Felicity Jones and together they beat the odds and time.
St. Vincent. DVD. Blue-Ray. IMDB Pro-rating 7.3. Melissa McCarthy stars as a single Mom with two jobs who has to leave her 12 year old son (played by Jaeden Lieberher) with her drinking, gambling, strip club enthusiast neighbor (played by Bill Murray) who makes a genuine bond with the boy who is the only one able to see his good side.
The Interview. DVD. Blue-Ray. IMDB Pro-rating 6.9. The movie that caused an international scandal and almost brought down the SONY Empire with a hacking scandal. Seth Rogen and James Franco play producers of a tabloid TV show, but are anxious to prove they are true journalists. When it is learned that North Korea’s Kim Jong Un is a big fan they score an exclusive interview. That’s when the CIA steps in and asks that they assassinate the dictator while they have up close and personal access. Lizzy Caplan also stars.
Dumb and Dumber To. DVD. Blue-Ray. IMDB Pro-rating 6.1. The long overdue sequel starring original road trip pals Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels. Twenty years later, when Jeff learns he has a daughter, and is in need of a transplant donor, the two set about traversing the country in pursuit of the girl.
