SNL 40: Iconic Skits #SNL #SNL40

SNL 40
SNL has become a part of pop culture history. If you grew up watching SNL you will have a favorite skit. It has become so much of our American history.

In speaking with some friends we walked down SNL memory lane discussing some of our favorite skits and the people who brought them to us.

I did not know that SNL started as an experiment to give the great Johnny Carson a day off. This experiment has now lasted 40 years. The show has brought us some amazing talent: Gilda Radner, Chevy Chase, Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Jon Lovitz, Will Ferrell, Tina Fey and so many more.

I grew up watching the show in the 90s and can remember Mike Myers, Dana Carvey, Will Ferrell to name a few. I remember thinking that I wanted to do that. My favorite was when they broke character. There are so many favorite skits that I wanted to put together a few in honor of SNL’s 40th anniversary. What are your favorites?
