Recently the Crustacean Beverly Hills hosted the Red Hour Live Music Series presented by The Hollywood Reporter, Billboard, Ciroc, MYX Fusions, and the Left Shoe Company.

This is a weekly invitation-only jam session with music’s rising stars. Dr. Dre, David Foster and an American Idol reunion highlighted this week’s Red Hour.

The event was co-hosted by American Idol’s Pia Toscano and Jared Lee. The series is six weeks on Wednesday evenings. Red Hour has become a hub for celebrities and entertainment industry power players this summer.

Subsequent artists are yet to be revealed for the coming weeks, but will feature a mix of established and emerging talents.  In the past, Stevie Wonder, Faith Hill, Missy Elliott and Natalie Cole have taken turns at Crustacean’s mic. The Beverly Hills fine dining restaurant has drawn A-listers from the music industry from its start, in 1997.

Dr. Dre was all smiles while dining at Crustacean Beverly Hills with his children last night.  He posed for a photo with Crustacean Master Chef Helene An and her grandson/ sous-chef Derek An before checking out Crustacean’s Red Hour live music series where various American Idol all-stars were performing with David Foster in the audience.

The performers knew Dre was in the house, so they started playing various instrumental versions of Dr. Dre songs to catch his attention.

Crustacean Beverly Hills Red Hour live music series also re-united former flames Pia Toscano and Mark Ballas; they greeted each other with a big hug before going on stage.

In between touring with Jennifer Lopez and singing the national anthem for the LA Kings at home games during the Stanley Cup, Pia has become an avid hockey fan.

She commented last night on Game 4 of the Stanley Cup,

“The LA Kings are going to win the Cup again – I have no doubt.  But a tiny part of me wants them to go to Game 5 and win the championship on home turf.  That way, I can be there to support the team and join in the celebration with my fellow Angelenos.”

When asked about touring with J-Lo and she said,

“Jen is so nice! I love working with her and the (American Idol) girls are thrilled to be on tour with her.”
