Today at the Los Angeles Superior Court, Heidi Klum officially takes the first step towards ending her marriage to British singer Seal. She filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences as the reason.
When asked by People Magazine, the couple had this so say about their divorce,
“While we enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching, we have decided to separate. We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart.”
This superstar couple was married for almost seven years and will face the delicate issue of their 4 children; Leni, 7½, Henry, 6½, Johan, 5, and Lou, 2.
Heidi has filed for joint physical custody, but primarily physical custody with visitation rights for Seal. Also Heidi who legally changed her last name to Samuel when she married Seal in 2005, but still used Klum professionally, has requested to return her legal name back to Klum.
