Fashion and music icon Thalia Sodi launched her namesake collection of fashion and accessories, the Thalia Sodi collection, with a spectacular celebration spanning several floors of the world-famous Macy’s Herald Square flagship on Wednesday, March 4th.
The internationally recognized singer, songwriter, entrepreneur, author, and designer, infused her vivacious spirit at the iconic New York department store, setting the stage for an unforgettable debut. The celebration included a VIP party and runway fashion show culminating with a personal appearance in the Thalia Sodi collection Shop.
Legendary designer Tommy Hilfiger along with hundreds of fans watched the fashions as models took the runway in a high energy show on the 9th floor of the store, casting the spotlight on over 50 looks from the collection. Then, devoted fans were treated to a special moment with Thalia as she signed copies of her latest CD, Amore Mio. Fans lined up hours earlier to make an advance $75 purchase from the Thalia Sodi collection for the chance to meet the superstar.
The store’s salute also encompassed six Broadway windows dedicated to showcasing the collection, graphics and mannequin strike points along the Main Floor and a branded display atop the Broadway marquee.
The Thalia Sodi collection includes apparel, shoes and jewelry and is available at 300 Macy’s stores nationwide and on macys.com.The eponymous new line features feminine, figure-flattering dresses, tops and pants, as well as shoes and accessories. Bold prints, bright colors sexy silhouettes and glitzy jewelry bring a touch of glam to the line and are signatures of this exclusive collection.
