In the old days, sports fans used to yell things at players on the field. Nowadays, they just post nasty comments on Twitter. Just in time for tonight’s NFL season opener, Jimmy Kimmel revealed the latest installment of one of his show’s most popular segments. As a service to both football players and fans, he collected some of those nasty comments and put them all together for a special “Mean Tweets – NFL Edition,” featuring sports greats Michael Strahan, Malcolm Smith, Clay Matthews and many more football greats.
With over 210 million views across the series, “Mean Tweets” has celebrities, athletes and musicians read some of the harshest insults said about them on Twitter.
