Natalie Portman will play Lady Macbeth opposite Michael Fassbender as Macbeth. The film adaptation of the Shakespeare tragedy will be produced by the team behind The Kings Speech.
The script is being written by Todd Louiso and Jacob Koskoff, and will be directed, starting later this year, by Justin Kurzel (Snowtown). Both Roman Polanski and Orson Welles have directed films of the thrilling play.
The film will be a period piece, shot in the original 11th century setting, and will use Shakespeare’s original language.
Natalie Portman and Michael Fassbender (Fassy), have just wrapped the Terrence Malick (currently untitled) , film about sex and betrayal on the music scene in Texas.
Natalie is co-starring in the highly anticipated, Thor: The Dark World, due in theaters this November.
